Things to do

The Philippines consists of 7107 islands. The middle part of the country is called ‘the Visayas’ with the main island provinces being Cebu, Bohol and Negros. Bohol is a marvellous place for those who enjoy ecotourism. The most famous sites to visit are the Chocolate Hills and Tarsier primates, but Bohol has much to offer for the adventure seeking and nature loving tourist.

Scuba Diving

The scuba diving in the Philippines is one of the best in the world. Although not yet discovered by the large crowds, located in the Coral Triangle it offers some of most marine biodiversity in South East Asia.

Bohol has some amazing dive spots. Sandingan Island has beautiful reefs around the island with walls, slopes and beautiful corals.

Just a 10 minute boat ride away from the resort is Cabilao Island, known for some of the best dive spots on Bohol. There are more than a dozen Dive Spots to choose from.

It’s one of the few places where you can see Pygmy Seahorses (Hippocampus Bargibanti), Black Tip Sharks, Spotted Eagle Rays, Mantas, Sea Turtles, Barracudas and much more. But even if you don’t see the bigger animals on each dive, the reefs are beautiful and are always a joy to dive on.

If you’re lucky you can even see dolphins from the boat when travelling to the dive spots! Very common are Lionfish, Clownfish, Pufferfish and the Nudibranchs in many varieties. Expect quiet dive spots when diving at Sandingan Island Dive Resort, with only a hand full of dive resorts in the area and not many transient boats.
